Northern Arts Council Grants

The NAC was formed in 1969 for the purpose of developing and sponsoring arts and cultural events in Northern Wisconsin. It is the longest continuing local arts group in the state and has supported a wide variety of worthy programs, including dance and choral groups as well as adult and children’s library programs. Generally, the NAC does not fund capital purchases. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The NAC offers two grant cycles each year:

  1. Winter Cycle: Completed application received by December 1
    Grants range from $100 to $5,000.
  2. Summer Cycle: Completed application received by March 1
    Grants range from $100 to $400.

The NAC awards grants to non-profit groups based on available funds which come primarily from NAC memberships. Although not required, grant applicants are strongly encouraged to become NAC members. More information about membership can be found here:
