Northern Arts Council Grants

The NAC was formed in 1969 for the purpose of developing and sponsoring arts and cultural events in Northern Wisconsin. It is the longest continuing local arts group in the state and has supported a wide variety of worthy programs including dance and choral groups as well as adult authors and children’s programs. Generally, the NAC does not fund capital purchases. Incomplete applications will not be considered.

The NAC offers two grant cycles:

  1. Winter Cycle: Completed application postmarked by December 1, 2021
    Grants range from $100 to $5000
  2. Summer Cycle: Completed application postmarked by March 1, 2022
    Grants range from $100 to $400

The NAC awards grants to non-profit groups based on available funds which comes primarily from NAC memberships. Although not required, grant applicants are strongly encouraged to become NAC members.

NAC monthly meetings are open to the membership and are held the second Thursday of each month at four o’clock at the Rhinelander District Library. Membership checks should be sent to NAC, PO Box 916, Rhinelander, WI 54501.
